Mr. Sivaraman (57) is an exemplary professional whose undying passion for service to consumers through the process of distribution has earned him a mark in the marketplace.
Mr. Sivaraman started his career in a consumer durable retail showroom where the constant interaction with various types of consumers had enabled him to discover his passion for service. After three years of counter sales experience he moved to bazaar selling for a reputed brand of entertainment electronics. He had successfully created a distribution model for this category in Tamilnadu, replicating the FMCG distribution for the first time.
His journey in distribution management in FMCG space started in the year 1990.
He had his longest innings in Naga Foods where he was in charge of sales and distribution of high quality food products. He was spearheading the special task of distribution expansion in the South and the strategy to increase the width of distribution across markets led to their flagship Sooji brand grabbing market share from its competitors, registering an exponential growth. He had also helped the management in optimizing the product mix, besides streamlining the trade policies and promotions.
With this rich experience in distribution and exposure to Southern markets and trade culture, Mr. Sivaraman was inducted into Brand Kare, as a Partner-Consultant in 2014. In the last six years, in Brand Kare, Mr. Sivaraman has been instrumental in handling key distribution challenges for several regional brands. His speciality includes creating a distribution structure, innovating supplementary channels, staffing, training, pricing, below the line promotions etc. His expertise goes beyond the conventional distribution model. He has recently completed a consulting assignment for a leading B2B commodity portal. This assignment involved the development of an online retail order generation and offline fulfillment structure in Tamilnadu, the pilot market.
